About Ashley

I’m Ashley! A former collegiate dance team coach and choreographer, most recently at Western Michigan University, Go Broncos! I also taught high school Spanish for 10 years in my hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Go Wildcats! And now, I’m proud to introduce, Movimiento, the place where my
love of both dance and Spanish meet my passion for teaching!
Movimiento means movement. Learning a new language or a dance requires a commitment to a new way of being in motion.

For more than 15+ years, I’ve taught thousands of students of all ages in both dance and Spanish and I love building relationships with my students! I’m incredibly energetic and guarantee that students have an enjoyable experience when working with me!
I teach classes in a variety of styles, choreograph at both the high school and collegiate level, and judge competitions. I tutor and provide Spanish instruction for students and groups across all age levels. And, as a fluent Spanish speaker and interpreter, I’ve taken students on trips to Spain and Guatemala for both student visits and mission trips!
